Hello everyone, and welcome back to Dialogue with Cristobal Martinez!

For some reason, I'm able to see Aurelius' LinkedIn profile again. Either he blocked me for a period of time until unblocking me, or LinkedIn had been faulty the entire time. Hard to tell.

But just recently, I had managed to take a screenshot of Aurelius' LinkedIn post from around seven months ago. It's about why he changed his name from Aaron to Aurelius. Buckle in.

Here's what the LinkedIn post by Aurelius looks like:

Let's break it down:

"This decision has been over a year in the making. It marks a powerful turning point in my life. For me, this is not just a name change; it's a symbol of moving forward from a difficult past and reclaiming my story on my own terms."

I can understand why his past was difficult considering what I know about him, but at the same time, it's obvious he's rebranding for so long, especially when he began to study at Harold Washington College.

What I have in common with Aurelius is the part about family dynamics. We have trouble being understood by our families. And since I'm autistic, it's more difficult. But hey, at least I can write out how I feel about people's behavior to my therapist, and on Leaflet.

Here's what peaked my interest:

"Aurelius, meaning 'golden' in Latin, reflects how I have begun to feel as I embrace life beyond pain. Rook, inspired by the chess piece, represents strategy, resilience, and meaningful relationships. These are values rooted in the support of my chosen family."

As the man who used to be alright with Aurelius, that is understandable. However, what about the chosen family he made back at HWC? It sounded like he didn't take consideration into the people in his start of college.

"To the kind and supportive members of my biological family and friends: I see you, and I hope we continue to stand by each other with compassion and understanding."

The only thing that Aurelius saw was the messages I had sent him on Instagram. Please be fucking for real. Every time he saw my message, he was like, "UgH! aRe YoU sTiLl HeRe? GeT a LiFe!" Bitch, fuck you.

"Surviving and growing beyond trauma is no small feat. I was once named in anger, I now name myself in hope."

Aurelius had to rebrand himself in anger, literally and figuratively. Is he saying that everything about being Aaron until now brings him disgust, that he's the same bitch who doesn't know what he wants or needs, and that people obnoxiously try to belong in his TV show of a life?

Aurelius Rook changed his name to Aurelius Rook because he's going to study law, and get out of a bad dynamic with his parents. He is trying to get away from his true self in order to play House of Villains over dealing with not being loved enough by the men he has sought after.

Don't get me wrong, I had a crush on Aurelius back at Harold Washington College. However, I did ignore the red flags that show that I did not qualify to be his partner. I'm too introverted, I'm too weird, etc. But, how the fuck did Aurelius even know I'm too out there at all?

It's almost as if Aurelius was parroting Omar's playbook. They're both just as stupid for not keeping me in their shows a bit longer.
